The blade of the Samurai katana sword has been hand forged using the traditional ancient method of sword making. Hand forged blades with a full tang can cut tatami with a single strike. The blade (hand manufacturing) process involves constructing two pieces of steel as the outer jacket {T-10# steel} wrapped around a relatively softer, inner iron core, which is resilient and able to absorb shocks, which reduces the possibility of the blade breaking or bending. The blade is quenched, tempered and shaped in traditional Shinogi-Zukuri design, with featured Chu points and has an irregular wavy Boshi. The blade has been hard polishedusing multiple grade stones in the traditional Japanese method; this makes the blade very smooth. Additionally, this blade was clay tempered and has gone through more than 14 steps of work in hand sharpening and with specific double bo-hi {handmade groove} on blade . The beautiful Hamon resulted from quenching and tempering. Also included is the sword bag.
